Conducting importance difficulty matrix with the team to overcome a business challenge and a progress blocker.
Every week is a set of new and exciting challenges for me.
Typically, I work in Agile and Scrum systems. I support myself by using 15Five platform to create a bullet point of tasks that I need to tackle for the next week based on previous week's results.
In a very brief nutshell, when a new story flows down to me from Product Management it's time launch the Discovery & Research Stage to make sure the business requirements are properly defined and understood by all stakeholders.
The Design Stage is next, where new features of the software crystallize into a more tangible form. This is also the time of extensive prototype testing, to make sure the best possible solution is passed on to development.
Once the designs are handed over to engineering, comes the supervising and auditing part, where I conduct numerous check-ins with my stakeholders to make sure the current project is on track, all the way till it is considered as shipped.

This plethora of projects allowed me to experience and learn so many technical skills that now when a new technical opportunity arises, it is a far smaller challenge to grasp it than for most people who only specialize in a narrow discipline.

One of the first stages of any UX design is to understand what is the story about and how it works.
Plotting User Stories and User Flows helps not just UX designers, but also other stakeholders as well.
Having expertise in multiple flow plotting platforms like Miro or Mural with the addition of Design Thinking training from Luma Institute allows me to tackle any story with a successful outcome.
Additionally, companies need to figure out periodically who is their product audience, also knows as the Persona. Contextual interviews, surveys and market research helps to narrow down this Persona to protect the business from making financial mistakes.

After the basic user flow has been established with key stakeholders, it's time to sketch the basic wire-frames.
It's a quick and dirty way of creating rudimentary mock-ups.
It helps stakeholders and the UX designer alike to imagine what the UI might look line without getting attached at this stage to the final visuals.
Quick wire-framing allows for rapid UI iterations and all stakeholders have the skills to join in and have some influence on the final product.

User testing is one of the foundation of proper UX work-flow.
No matter how good you become as a UX Designer and how much experience you gain over the years, there's always a significant margin of unexpected user behavior that nobody could have predicted.
This is why every design, prototype or newly implemented feature should be tested with either an external panel of users or better yet, with a panel of existing clients who ARE the right Persona for the software you are designing.
I have experience in unmoderated and moderated testing using two different platforms. I have also performed dedicated business travel to conduct contextual inquires in order to learn about the users' needs.

No software solution will survive these days, if it is without User Experience daily care. UX Designers are people with high level of empathy towards other people, who also happen to be software users. Software that is friendly to users wins in an ever competitive market.
This line of though has been recognized more and more, leading to such disciplines as Design Thinking or Human Centric Design.
Reaching this level of software design is not easy, especially in a corporate world with multiple stakeholders and sometimes outdated stereotypes regarding software practices.
This is where training institutions such as LUMA Institute come into play with their programs. I am happy to be one of their practitioners.
